01

Start with the work already recorded.

Review logged sessions and the current plan before reading the check-in. Look for gaps or changes that need context. Avoid asking the client to reconstruct information that is already available to you.

02

Ask questions you will use.

Keep the reflection focused. Ask what felt manageable, what got in the way and what the client would like to discuss. Choose questions that help you understand their experience without turning the check-in into a long administrative task.

03

Close with a clear next step.

Use the review to decide what stays the same and what needs attention. Explain any changes to the client and show where the updated plan or resource lives. Keep responsibility for coaching decisions with you.
